Before MSU Comes to MSU after playing the 2017-18 season at Cowley County Community College. He played for Cowley Coach Tommy DeSalme in Arkansas City, Kansas. Originally from Chicago, Cowart will be a junior with the Racers in the 2017-18 season. Appeared in 31 games for Cowley County and averaged 15.9 points per game and hauled in 7.7 rebounds in only 22.3 minutes per game. Both of his totals for points and rebounds was tops on his team. His best games included: 28 points and 10 rebounds against Garden City, 27 points/15 rebounds against Neosho County, 22 points and 15 rebounds against No. 6 Hutchinson and 27 points and 10 rebounds against Pratt.
